Every release, on the watch and on the phone — what changed and when.

  1. Garmin2.1

Start on the phone, and the watch follows

    • Start a session in the app and your watch opens the same profile: same clock, same pulse, same temperature — and in a sauna, fluid loss and calories too. Nothing is recorded twice; the session stays with the device that started it.
    • Timers no longer stop when the screen goes off. A session counts real elapsed time instead of the seconds the phone happened to stay awake.
    • The summary now carries the sauna temperature, the breathing plan you actually used (3×30, 15 s) and the heart rate change of each phase in combined sessions — built to be shared.
    • The watch asks for the temperature when a session ends: water in steps of 1 °C, sauna air in steps of 5 °C, opening at what the watch measured. Sauna fluid loss is recalculated from the figure you confirm, and that is the number that reaches Garmin Connect. Worth knowing: without an external Tempe sensor the wrist sensor reads the watch case, around 30 °C — never the air or the water.
    • The watch side needs Breath & Plunge PRO 2.1 from the Connect IQ store. The Lite watch app does not mirror sessions.

  2. Garmin2.0

Your watch sessions now land in the app by themselves

    • Sessions you record on the watch appear in the phone app on their own — nothing to press, nothing to export.
    • While a session runs in the app, the watch streams heart rate and water temperature to the screen once a second.
    • The watch keeps its last 30 sessions until the app confirms each one, so closing the app no longer loses a session.
    • Needs Breath & Plunge PRO on the watch and version 2.0 of the phone app. The Lite watch app does not have the link.

  3. Garminv0.37

Three guided breathing methods on the watch

    • Box 4-4-4-4, Relax 4-7-8 and Calm 5-5 join the Wim Hof rounds as their own profiles, with the same circle animation and signals.
    • The profile list scrolls, so all eight profiles are reachable on a small screen.
    • The fenix 9 family is supported — 118 devices in total.

  4. Garminv0.36

Wet screens, missing signals and Fahrenheit

    • "Touch Screen: off" now really ignores the screen — water running down the glass can no longer end a session.
    • The 30-second progress signal fires again, and now plays a tone instead of vibration only.
    • The settings menu is reachable on touch-only watches (vivoactive, venu, venu sq).
    • Fahrenheit and fluid ounces follow the watch setting — nothing to configure.
